Enchanted Rock 10K Year Round

After spending the night in Fredericksburg we headed north to walk the Enchanted Rock Natural Area.

The first part of the 10K is a hike to the summit.

When you get to the top you look for a round metal surveyor’s marker.  You wait for your turn to get close enough to take a picture.  The survey marker is the highest point of enchanted rock.

We retraced our steps to the parking lot.

From there we walked along the park road to the southern trail head for the Loop Trail which circles the base of Enchanted Rock.  As we headed out on the Loop Trail.

We found a cave here.

We found a cave here.
