We headed out to East Texas on Saturday morning. We started walking at 9:30 am and had a great walk. Most of the Volksmarch walk route is along the Nana Bayou. Great Trail.
Store planter near walk start.
Park Sign.
First of several small bridges.
Great Trail along the Bayou.
Further along on the trail where it levels out.
Vehicle bridge next to the trail.
Bridge to the Mize Garden.
Weeping Cyprus Arbor was so nice and cool under there.
Huge Loblolly Pines probably over a 100 foot tall.
What the plants would look like if they were blooming.
Blooming season is March-April
Gate to another garden.
Plants growing in car tire planters.
The walk after the hike/bike trail and gardens wanders back through the Stephen F. Austin State College campus. This is a nice statue of Austin.
