Texarkana Volksmarch (10K)

The East Texas Trekkers host a Year Round Volksmarching Event (YRE) that takes walkers to both Texarkana, TX and Texarkana, Ark.  The walk starts on the Texas side of the state line.  We passed lovely churches.

There were statures, markers and memorials.

There were was a federal and state office building.

There were museums, and other old buildings.

There were flowers, a waterfall and a mural.

We passed the Regional Art Center with its outdoor displays.

And we even had a bathroom break at the local park before heading on over into Arkansas.

We passed the Arkansas Municipal building, and several nice old homes.

We passed through downtown.

There was a small pocket park.

There two other murals and an interesting car parked there.

There were lots of pretty plants.

And we passed some yard art and the high school mascot.

We had an interesting walk on both sides of the state line.
