I walked the 5K (my walking partners went ahead and walked the 10K). When I completed the 5K I went out to work the checkpoint on the 20K walk / 25K bike route. It was nice to walk in Fredericksburg in the daylight. They host a midnight walk here every year and I’ve done is faithfully. But 2007 was the last time I walked here in the daylight!
These Volksmarching events were presented in memory of Kenn Knopp, Founding Father of Volkssporting in the USA and Joyce O’Rear, longtime, faithful President of the sponsoring club, Volkssportverein Friedrichsburg.
