Boerne, TX – 07/15/2017

Boerne has three walks to choose from: Downtown, Cemetery, and Cibolo Wilderness.  We chose the Cemetery walk but since we were doing the short version we didn’t actually get to the cemetery.

Pink Caladiums

Carol headed down School Road

Nice house

Low water crossing on Frederick Creek.

Bridge crossing over Cibolo Creek.

Victorian gazebo in Main Plaza

Cute sculpture near the gazebo.

Stopped to visit with Wild Bill Hickok. With the temperature in the 90s, you had to use caution when you sat down next to him.

We headed toward the old Kendall Inn which was built in 1859.

Statue in front of the Inn.

Our walk took us to the Cibolo Trail.

“Starry Night” artwork along the trail.

My companions on the trail ahead of me.

Another statue along the Cibolo Trail.

We got a view of the Kronkosky Tower.

This is a Raven riding a comet. Also along the Cibolo Trail.

Lawn sea monster across Cibolo Creek.

After we left the trail we passed the “old” St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

Next door is the new (1923) sanctuary.
