Jourdanton, TX – 09/19/2018

Jourdanton is the Atascosa County Seat. It is approximately 37 miles south of downtown San Antonio. At the center of town is the intersection of Texas State HWY-16 and 97. It is not a new county for us. We walked Poteet in 2006.

Walk starts at the lovely court house.

In front of the courthouse is the 1936 Pink County Marker.

The old county jail.

Side trip to check out the church.

Ed reading the historical marker.

Non war memorial…. the city flag should be lower than the American flag!

Water hazard caused by recent rains.

House with tin façade.

Two faced Indian on the water tower.

Ed waiting outside when we checked out the inside of the court house.
