Pearsall, TX – 10/03/2018

We went down to Pearsall to walk the 5K Year Round Event. Pearsall is located along I-35. The Alamo City (San Antonio) is located 54 miles to the north and the Gateway to Mexico (Laredo) is a 100 miles to the south. The walk started at the old jail which is now a museum.  There was an arts/crafts show set up on the main street.

1884 Old Frio County Jail, is a 2-story Victorian with elaborate molded brickwork.

Old well that furnished water for the jail.

The 1904 courthouse was originally a Romanesque Revival-style three-story building with a tall clock tower. The third floor and the clock tower were removed decades ago.
