Seawall – Galveston, TX 11/23/2018

We were in the area for Thanksgiving so decided to spend the night on the Island and do the Seawall Volksmarching Event.

 

Hotel Galvez was our registration location for the walk.

Former site of the Balinese Room Pier which was destroyed  by Hurricane Ike on Saturday, September 13, 2008.

Having won independence in 1836 Texas would remain independent until 1845 when it agreed to join the United States through a Treaty of Annexation. This monument is to the Texas Navy.
