Purtis Creek State Park 9/20/2019

We were supposed to do a hike here in the spring but got rained out. Today we had great weather and dry trails.

Park Entrance.

Walk director explaining the trail map before we headed out.

Hike started here.

My husband said this deformity is called a “burl”.

Little bridge is the only one we crossed.

One of two benches we passed.

Beauty-Berry plants were all along the trail.

Unusual shape to this tree.

Most of the trail was dirt/sand.

In a few spots we had lush green grass.
