Samuell Grand Park – Dallas – 11/16/2019

We joined the Dallas Trekkers for a park and residential walk.  It was cold at start but soon warmed up.

Entrance from Samuell Blvd.

Picture of Dallas Trekkers Diane, Debra and David with the new Dallas Trekker sign.

I think they said that anyone who did six of the Dallas YREs could receive a free Dallas Trekker t-shirt (new design).

We walked past this playground.

WPA erected bathrooms in Tenison Park (in the divide of between East and West Grand Avenue.

Ed and Carol crossing a WPA bridge.

Tenison Park.

A little bit of fall color.

Residential area was mostly Tudor style homes.

I liked the pumpkins stacked in the vases.

This is a much larger newer home.

Pavilions in Lindsley Park.

Walking on the Santa Fe Trail.

Trail marker.

View of the Santa Fe Trail from the overpass.

An adobe home stuck out amongst all the Tudor homes.

A large church that is now a school.

Really nice article. I didn’t realize there were WPA stone structures in Samuell Grand – have to take a look. Rode the Santa Fe trail on my bike today – it’s my favorite trail in Dallas.

    Thanks for sharing.
