Moya Park 09/26/2020

Moya Park is  a 92 acre park east of Austin.  The Colorado River Walkers held an event there today and we enjoyed the paved hike/bike trail.  The trail winds through large pecan groves.

After registering the walkers are getting ready to walk.

I was honored to have four walking companions on this walk.

Truss bridge originally built 1884 to carry Congress Avenue over the Colorado River. Moved here in 1917 after new Congress Ave bridge was erected.

Pretty flowering bush.

Crossing Onion Creek on the old bridge.

Looking down from the bridge on the walkers passing below.

Historical marker with information about the old bridge.

Design on the end of the bridge.

I took pictures of Ellen, Pat and Darlene but I didn’t hold the camera steady and the pictures are blurry.
